Viitorul Roman at Culture Fest 2022
Viitorul Roman Society has been part of 25-nation participation at the First Annual Buena Park Multicultural Festival. The Society presented a Cultural Booth, A Food Booth, and a Folkloric Performance by Viorica Onut. The guests visiting our booth came from Scotland, Korea, Poland, Japan, Mexico, Ireland, Ecuador, Ukraine, China, Bolivia, Russia, Vietnam, the United States, and, obviously, Moldova and Romania. Here are a few clips with Chinese ballerinas, Bolivian dancers, a Vietnamese “bride”, an ensemble from Korea, and our beautiful friends from Ireland doing their signature style of dancing. The white beard Scottish gentleman in the traditional kilt is the Mayer Pro-term of Buena Park.
The final stage performance of the festival belonged to VRS’ extraordinary performer Viorica Onut, who literally brought the house down! The audience of all nations present at the half-hour-long show clapped their hands and stomped their feet. An impromptu group of five Romanian ladies hopped on the stage and danced till the end of the program! The organizers stated that this was the best performance of the Festival and it was the best ending of the day they could’ve hoped for! The President of Viitorul Roman Society took the mike to thank and congratulate the organizers for their success at their first annual Culture Fest.
Viitorul Roman Society introduced “Goodies in the Pantry”, owned by Claudiu Giorgioni in Orange County, as the VRS’ Romanian Food Booth at the Buena Park Culture Fest on September 24. Their delicious menu attracted hundreds of customers present at the festival, sensibly even more non-Romanians than Romanians! According to an official I heard, ‘the Romanian Food booth sold more than the other 6 food booths combined”. Quite a compliment!

VRS will host a Romanian Cultural Booth and a VRS Food Booth – “A Taste of Romania“, under the expert management of the famous restaurant “Goodies in the Pantry“.
The festival will gather stage performances from different nations and Viitorul Roman Society’s “Romanian Folkloric Treasures” will be the closing act of the Festival (we will start at around 5:30 pm).
Festivalul este in aer liber, in parcul din fața primăriei din Buena Park si intrarea este gratuită! Mâncarea va fi contra cost, funcție de ce își comandă fiecare si cat de mult!
