Introduction by Bogdan Marcu, Cultural Director VRS:

“…A pilgrimage implies in meeting different people, in talking to strangers, in paying attention to the omens, and basically being open to life. And we leave our home to go to work, to go to school, and we have every single day this possibility, this chance of discovering something new. So the pilgrimage is not for the privileged… but for people who are open to life”

These are the words of Paulo Coelho, inspiring each of us to examine our own journeys. And what better example of a life journey becoming a special pilgrimage, a pilgrimage experienced on one’s own home, and one’s own day to day life than Elena Beuca’s film D-love. Inspired by true life’s events, Elena’s film, directed by her and produced together with her husband, Dave Rogers, who also stars, and including a magnificent cast, brings to life a wonderful story which will inspire us to examine in new light our own journeys. The film runs at the Laemmle Theater in North Hollywood, thought December 14th.

The special screening is scheduled for the show starting at 7:10 pm on December 14th. We advise the VRS members and their friends to plan for arriving at the theater at 6:30.

Following the show, Elena, Dave and a part of the cast will talk about the inspiring details which have made the project possible and also the blend of real life events and the film story, and will answer all the questions that we may have about this wonderful achievement.

After the show and the Q&A session, you are all invited to continue having a wonderful time across the street from the Theater at the District Pub NoHo.
